Pronk&Associates' award-winning design team is devoted to educational publishing and produces materials to enhance the students' learning experience. The design team will assist with any stage of the creative process and provide a number of customized approaches to visual communication problems. From cover, interior, and prototype design to the creation of electronic media, our design group presents a variety of options, and works closely with clients to finalize the product.
Art directors and art buyers coordinate and administer photography and art programs consisting of interpretive, technical, scientific, and medical illustrations. Art directors work collaboratively with clients to finalize the selection of illustrators and photographers for each project, as well as organize photo shoots and video productions. Media assets are logged and tracked, ensuring accuracy and flexibility when managing large and complex programs.
The photo research staff locates images and presents the best options for each request. These files are then posted on our secure web site where selections and comments can be made by those who are given access on a project-by-project basis. Once visuals are approved, we will negotiate and finalize permissions and forward all paperwork to clients. Images are reported on in great detail as required, and real-time accounts can be generated when monitoring progress and costs.
Our production artists specialize in the composition of educational materials, including complex mathsetting, tables, and technical art, using industry standard software. We customize production strategies for our clients that ensure efficiency, minimize the possibility of human error, and yield consistent documents that can easily be re-purposed and revised in the future. Composition and design staff work together during the production process to establish page layout and to maximize the effectiveness of visual elements. All documents are thoroughly examined and proofread by our quality control staff to ensure accuracy.
The integration of the prepress function with page composition eliminates the need to ship files between different suppliers, allowing for consistency and shorter turnaround. Scanning, color correction, image manipulation and digital proofing are provided. We preflight and prepare files to client specifications for final output to press or electronic media. In order to efficiently and securely manage mass storage, we have three NT servers that are backed up nightly.
